Set against the scenery of 1977 Los Angeles, The Nice Guys opens when single parent and authorized PI Holland March (Gosling) is procured to research the clear suicide of acclaimed porn star Misty Mountains. As the trail drives him to find a young lady named Amelia (Qualley), he experiences less authorized and less distant private investigator Jackson Healey (Russell Crowe) and his knuckle reinforcements, both procured by the youthful flower child.
