A father embarks to locate his missing little girl with the assistance of his child.
An incomprehensible prairie, a nation and western assembling some place in the east of France. Alain is a focal figure in this group. He's hitting the dance floor with his little girl Kelly, 16, as his significant other and their young child Kid watch from the sidelines. Yet, on this day, Kelly vanishes, and the family goes into disrepair. Alain leaves on a steady look for his little girl, despite the fact that it costs him everything and takes him to some distant spots. Dim, unsettling places, where his sole backing is Kid, who gives up his childhood to go with his dad on this apparently perpetual journey.
At a nation western social affair in eastern France, Alain's (François Damiens) high school little girl strangely vanishes. Finding that she has stolen away with her Muslim sweetheart, the father sets off on an over the top hunt reminiscent of John Ford's The Searchers, aside from this time the destina-tion is war-torn Afghanistan. A long time pass, yet Alain will persevere relentlessly to discover his girl, notwithstanding enrolling his child in the journey. Acclaimed screen-essayist Thomas Bidegain's introduction film transports that most American of types, the Western, to the 9/11 period.
